Vanguard Discovery Camp provides a safe and stimulating environment for kids to engage in STEAM based hands-on actvities, fostering curiosity and creativity. Daily morning sessions will provide interactive round-robin gathering with experiments and group projects that assist kids to learn and strengthen abilities to think critically, collaborate, and communicate effectively. The afternoon session will focus on one major STEAM project developing upon it throughout the week. We will end the week with a celebration to showcase the campers' creations.
EACH CAMPER MUST BRING A SACK LUNCH DAILY. LUNCH IS NOT PROVIDED!!! Snacks are provided but not lunch.
The sessions will follow each day's theme:
Molecular Monday- Monday's morning sessions will be focused on the subject of science.
Searcy Campus- Slime Time, The Mad Scientist (Elephant Toothpaste), Zoetrope Animation in the morning
Heber Springs- Slime Time, Geology Rocks, The Mad Scientist (Elephant Toothpaste)
Beebe- Squid Science, Busy Bees Wax
Tech Tuesday- Tuesday's morning sessions will be focured on technology or technical skill sets.
Searcy- VR Headsets, Forrestry Discovery, Why Won't My Car Go.
Heber Springs- Egg Drop Challenge, Bashing Blacksmith, Laser Lesson (Group 1 Field Trip- Chemistry of Candy)
Beebe- 3-D Printing, VR Headsets, CPR
Work Wednesdays- Wednesday's morning sessions will focus on engineering.
Searcy- Nature's Nursery-Field Trip, Engineering Flight, Building Bridges
Heber Springs-Engineering Flight, Egg Drop Challenge, Building Bridges (Group 2 Field Trip- Chemisty of Candy)
Beebe- Storm Team (News), Sky Dome, Engineering Flight
Technique Thursdays- Thursday's morning sessions will focus on the arts.
Searcy- Mugcake, Charcuterie, Moblie Music
Heber Springs- Paint with Dan, Music with Lorrie, Pottery Wheel
Beebe- Art with Stephanie, Jewelry Making, Stained Glass Frames
Formula Fridays- Friday's morning sessions will focus on the subject of math.
Searcy- Game of Life, Formulating Forensics, Formula Painting

The afternoons will be a focused session that begins on Monday and runs through Friday.
